[April 2021] The NSUIC is excited to share that our first "report card" has been published and is available for download. In just a short period of time -- since March, 2019 -- we have made significant strides, serving more than 1,000 entrepreneurs by providing training, education, and programs that help them launch, establish, and grow their businesses! We are looking forward to continuing to provide much-needed resources to underserved entrepreneurs in Hampton Roads.

Bank of America Donates to the Center

Norfolk State University received a $100,000 donation from the Bank of America Hampton Roads President Frank Castellanos in September 2021.

 

This donation is to support the NSU School of Business and its Innovation Center (NSUIC).

​

The donation will support financial seed grants for entrepreneurial exercises, and provide resources for the center’s business Incubator Program. lt will also give direct assistance to students by helping them financially, provide them with career counseling, job preparedness training and placement.

NSUIC Launches Program with Selden Market for Small Business Owners

Selden Market in downtown Norfolk partnered with the NSU Innovation Center to launch the ALIGN: Small Business Series in February 2023.

​

This comprehensive program is free and designed for new and established small business owners, current and potential Selden Market businesses and anyone in the entrepreneurial community who is looking to improve their funding, marketing and growth strategies.

 

Align offers eight weekly interactive sessions, one-on one consulting and mentorship, and supplemental workshops and events.
